Although it doesn’t say anywhere in the ad that it has uv light, there is a blue light inside the arms visible when it’s on, but it’s not uv light. I measured it and it’s only a blue led, so it doesn’t kill bacteria with the light. Only with the heat. Still works very well to dry shoes from the inside!

“themometer” is just sticker and “uv” is just blue leds, but it does not matter.
If you restrict airflow too much (for example with gloves), it eventually overheat and turn itself off (which is good).
It dries wet shoes very quick, much better than passive heaters.
