Its okay…the timer will switch the device off and the only way to activate the device again is to manually press the on/off button.so you can’t use an external timer because the unit will switch off and will only work once you press the on/off button.keep this in mind with all humidifiers with this type of internal timer.its good you can add water without takeing the tank off.good unit for normal home use 👍
