It is used to remove the ‘black’ from pots. Be careful because they will scratch everything they touch if you’re not careful. Don’t even think about using it with a frying pan or non-stick surfaces.

I don’t remember why I bought it, but I tried wiping the bottom of the pan dry as shown in the picture, and it’s surprising how well it cleans. I haven’t figured out how to use it properly yet because the end of this bar got clogged right away. Maybe I should try using it with detergent.

I have used these sticks many times and they are very effective for removing burnt on grease whilst leaving a very smooth surface, obviously not to be used with enamel or teflon coatings ut perfect for stainless steel. They leave a matt finish and therefore would show up on a polished or chrome surface
