How to use it?
Just 3 Steps
Step 1: Search “Smart Life or TuyaSmart” on APP store, Google Play or scan the QR code on user manual to download and install it.
Step 2: Plug the socket into an AC outlet and long press master power button until the indicator light flash.
Step 3: Open “Smart Life or Tuya Smart App”, discovery and add device in the app, and then finish configuration according to the guide.

These devices have a faulty earth connection. I was feeling electrical current from devices that were plugged in and measured a voltage from the earth of my connected device to true earth. I decided to open one up and noticed that the earth pin was not actually soldered. I believe this problem affects all the ones i have. Other than that, they seem to work ok. When contacting the store, all i got was some ai agent that did not help me alert the store / manufacturer to this serious safety issue.

These smart plugs are great. They are tuya so it it cloud based which makes it easy to set up initially. I found they are compatible with the tuya-local (not localtuya) home assistant package. I bought a few already and will get some more.

Great little unit, have bought a total of four now, not so much for switching but for power monitoring inside a home assistant setup. Word to the wise use the a tuya local integration which is installed via hacs. You will then need to derive energy by integrating the power sensor as the built in energy sensor seems to produce rubbish. Your local friendly ai chatbot will be able to talk you through it if needed.

Does what it says. app is very easy to install and works fine. can put in a timer on the app as well. can integrate with google home as well. there is a power button on the side. handy for switching on off things while you are away like watering plants.
